Odesa has received a new consignment of equipment from Japan - 10 tank trucks and a truck.
Six of the tank trucks were allocated to the municipal enterprise «Miskzelentrest» for operational activities, while four tank trucks and the truck were assigned to «City Roads» municipal enterprise. This organization is responsible for maintaining city roads and stop complexes. During the war, they also collaborate with the housing service to mitigate the effects of enemy attacks.
Additionally, all available tank trucks are utilized for water supply when necessary. For instance, Odesa's municipal workers transported water to neighboring Mykolaiv when the city was without water for several months. They also supplied water to the State Emergency Service for extinguishing large-scale fires in the ecosystem.
Moreover, after the attacks on the energy system, when Odesa was left without electricity, water, and heat, tank trucks were used to deliver water to areas lacking public wells.
«I thank our Japanese friends for their incredible support and wish health, happiness, and prosperity to our country. May 2025 bring new opportunities for our cooperation with Japan and the implementation of joint projects, I hope, already towards the restoration and development of Odesa!» - said Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
