The Mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, met with a French delegation led by the president of the Architecture et Maîtres d'Ouvrage (AMO) Association, Mr. Martin Duplantier, head of the Parisian architectural firm Martin Duplantier Architectes.
During the dialogue, the parties discussed projects that could benefit from the architectural firm and the association's support. These include medical and educational facilities, as well as cultural heritage initiatives.
"France has always been a close ally of Odessa, we stand by Ukraine during these challenging times and are interested in further partnerships and investments in Odessa. Today, we are considering restoration projects," said Mr. Duplantier.
Gennady Trukhanov expressed gratitude for the attention to the city, emphasizing that caring for children and creating conditions for their development is a priority for Odessa.
"Unfortunately, the number of children needing special attention is rising. Therefore, we need to establish a facility where children with disabilities and special educational needs can receive medical and rehabilitative support, as well as education. Our team of specialists from the city's education and healthcare sectors has developed relevant proposals outlined in the project "Swallow," - stated the mayor.
Mr. Duplantier expressed confidence that collaboration with the French government and various European Union institutions would lead to grant programs for implementing this crucial project.
