The 25th anniversary exhibition of cutting-edge technologies, CEATEC-2024, took place in Chiba, Japan.
This marks the second consecutive year that Ukrainian companies have presented their technological advancements at one of Asia's largest international events.
This year, the Odesa City Council showcased Ukrainian IT innovations through a unified booth.
Tamila Afanasieva, the director of the "Odesa 5T Grant Office," presented developments from the IT Family Odesa cluster and the Cybersecurity, Software Engineering and Computer Science Faculty of the International Humanitarian University.
The Odesa delegation also participated in the 13th Asia Smart City Conference held in the sister city of Yokohama.
The conference brought together leaders in urban development and innovators in technology.
During their visit to Japan, the Odesa delegation held protocol meetings with the mayor of Yokohama, city council leadership, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan.
Additionally, working discussions were held with representatives from the Yokohama municipality, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the UN Development Programme office.
Key infrastructure projects for Odesa were discussed alongside Japanese tech companies including Nippon Koei, JFE Engineering, and Sansei.
Meetings were also held with members of the Japanese National Commission for UNESCO, focusing on heritage conservation and restoration experiences from both Odesa and Japan.
Representatives of Japanese society expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine in their struggle for freedom and openness to collaboration with the Odesa community.
