On December 20, 2024, the Golden Hall of the Odessa Literary Museum hosted the opening of the V Christmas Choir Festival 'The Fire of Christmas', organized by the T. I. Boieva Art School No. 15.

The Director of the Department of Culture of the Odessa City Council, Ivan Liaptuga, greeted participants with Christmas wishes, encouraging them to continue celebrating Odessa with their talents.

Choirs from art schools in Odessa and music institutions from the Odessa region performed Christmas musical pieces, providing the audience with unforgettable experiences.

The festival also featured a scientific-methodological conference titled 'Christmas Songs in Contemporary Choral Music'.

Discussions focused on the development of Ukrainian folk singing and innovations in choral work within the Ukrainian music education system.

The second day of the festival, December 23, 2024, will be dedicated to virtual performances by various groups. This year, choirs and ensembles from several large and small cities in Ukraine are participating, including Odessa, Chornomorsk, Kryvyi Rih, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, and Stryzhavka. Support has also come from groups in Norway and Moldova.
