Environmental Initiative in Odessa

Odessa hosted a large-scale environmental cleanup event.

In Preobrazhensky Park, 100 new trees were planted. Overall, nearly 200 trees were planted across various locations in the city, including acacias, Japanese sophoras, maples, and ashes.

Along Uspenska Street and on French Boulevard, 33 Japanese sophoras and 32 acacia trees were planted in place of removed stumps.

«Last year, new stump removal equipment was purchased for the municipal enterprise «Miskzelentrest» with city budget funds. What used to take a day now only takes half an hour for one stump. We are planting new trees in the cleared areas. Thank you to everyone who participated!» said the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov.

Additionally, residents, together with municipal workers, planted trees on Mykolaivska Road and cleaned the slopes along the Health Trail.
