Energy Challenges: Latest Statements from "Ukrenergo"

"Ukrenergo" has denied rumors about potential electricity outages.

This information was confirmed by the company's press service.

"Recently, some media outlets and telegram channels have started spreading news with sensational headlines about the possible return of outages. We want to emphasize that this information is not true. Currently, no restrictions are being implemented," the company stated.

However, "Ukrenergo" representatives noted that there is indeed a need for rational electricity consumption, as repair works at energy facilities continue after the attacks. With the drop in temperatures across Ukraine, electricity consumption has significantly increased, as many consumers are turning on heaters and other high-power devices.

Additionally, due to the end of the heating season, some generation facilities ceased operations last week, as they cannot produce electricity separately from thermal energy.

The situation is further complicated by cloudy weather, which reduces the efficiency of solar power plants.

Thus, "Ukrenergo" urges citizens to reduce the use of high-power electrical devices and avoid turning on multiple devices simultaneously from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

As a reminder, in Ukraine, due to a significant drop in temperature on the morning of April 7, electricity consumption exceeded the level of the previous working day by 16%.

On April 8, consumption continued to remain high, with the level at 9:30 AM being 2.3% higher than at the same time the previous day.
