On April 21, the Odessa region is expected to experience an increased level of fire hazard. Due to weather conditions, there is a risk of rapid fire spread in the event of ignition. Meteorologists urge citizens to exercise utmost caution with fire.

This was reported by the Hydro-meteorological Center of the Black and Azov Seas.

"Weather conditions will contribute to a higher likelihood of fire occurrence and spread in ecosystems with ignition sources present," the meteorologists stated.

Fire Hazard in Odessa

According to meteorologists, the danger will persist and spread across almost all territories of the Odessa region. A high level of hazard has been declared in the following settlements:

  • Lyubashivka;
  • Zatyshia;
  • Serbka;
  • Rozdilna;
  • Sarata;
  • Bolgrad;
  • Vilkove;
  • Izmail.

Behavioral Guidelines During Fire Hazard

To prevent fires, it is important to follow certain safety rules:

  • do not burn dry grass or leaves in household plots, as this can lead to uncontrolled burning;
  • do not light open fires near dry vegetation and farm buildings;
  • do not discard cigarette butts and matches on dry ground;
  • avoid visiting forests altogether, as there is a risk of encountering explosive objects contaminating vast areas of Ukraine.

If a fire is detected, it is necessary to immediately report it to the Rescue Service at number 101.

Experts also emphasize: in hot and windy weather, even a single spark can lead to a large-scale ecological disaster.
