On April 15, 2025, during a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Odesa City Council, Hennadiy Trukhanov honored a team of veterans for their participation in an extreme long-distance marathon in the Aegean Sea.

The adaptive athletes formed two teams and successfully completed a symbolic route on boats along Mount Olympus, showcasing their skills in the strength event of "tug-of-war."   

The veterans were awarded for their active public engagement, promoting adaptive sports among veterans, their significant contribution to the development of international sports cooperation, strengthening the positive image of Odesa abroad, and demonstrating courage, spirit, and team unity during the international marathon in Greece.
