Construction has commenced in Odesa on the pedestrian segment of the inclusive route «North – South». This is the largest pedestrian area of its kind in Ukraine, part of the national project «Movement Without Barriers».
The route stretches from Kishinivska Street to the CNAP on Zabolotnoho Street, covering several socially significant sites.
The project plans to lower curbs, install ramps, lay tactile paving, and renew surfaces in accordance with state building standards.
The works started symbolically on the first day of the Barrier-Free Week held in Ukraine.
This project is implemented under the initiative of the Barrier-Free Council and with the support of Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
