According to the State Environmental Inspection of the Southwestern Region, in addition to millions in environmental damage, harmful CO2 emissions reached 7128 tons!
In the Peresyp district of Odesa, a fire broke out in dry vegetation and shrubs. Due to adverse weather conditions, the flames quickly spread over a large area across three ignition points. An aerial reconnaissance was conducted using drones to assess the situation, as there was a threat of fire spreading to private residential buildings. Rescuers, together with the National Guard of Ukraine's firefighting unit, local fire brigade, and municipal services, promptly contained the fire and prevented its spread.
The fire was extinguished over a total area of 10 hectares.
Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
