In Odessa, the installation of cogeneration units initiated by GIZ Ukraine under the SUR project is actively underway.
Mr. Ralf Grotenhoff, the head of the construction component of the project aimed at enhancing the resilience of urban communities in Ukraine, visited Odessa on a monitoring mission.
“Such meetings are systematic. Our shared goal is to ensure a steady supply of heat and electricity in crisis situations. We are also beginning to explore further cooperation within new projects,” noted Anna Pozdnyakova, Deputy Mayor of Odessa.
The team at the KP “TMO” is working tirelessly, with the installation of cogeneration units being a complex process that requires considerable resources and specialized attention. Specialists are making every effort to ensure that the upcoming heating season will utilize the new equipment.
The support for Odessa under the SUR project is part of the transitional assistance provided by Germany to enhance the energy independence of Ukrainian communities. This not only helps the city prepare for winter challenges but also lays the groundwork for long-term changes in urban sustainability.
