Funding Approved for Damaged Buildings in Odesa

During an extraordinary session, the Odesa City Council approved funding for the Department of Urban Economy. This funding is aimed at conducting technical inspections and urgent work on buildings that have suffered due to enemy attacks.

Specifically, this concerns the building located at 3 Oleksandra Kutuzakiya Street, where the structure was completely destroyed from the 5th to the 8th floors due to shelling, and load-bearing walls and staircases were also damaged.

Experts from the Odesa State Academy of Construction and Architecture have assessed part of the building as emergency. All residents have been evacuated, with temporary accommodations provided with relatives or in municipal facilities.

To ensure safety, the building is being guarded around the clock to prevent accidents.

Additionally, funding has been allocated for the restoration of other affected facilities.

“We are working as quickly as possible within all necessary procedures. We are in constant contact with the affected families and are doing everything we can to provide timely assistance. I thank the deputies for their prompt response and support of this important decision,” said Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

The decision was adopted unanimously.
