In Odesa, beach inspections are continuing as part of a joint order from the Odesa Regional Military Administration and the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Odesa» to ensure safety compliance.
According to the decree from the head of the regional military administration, the opening of beaches during wartime is only permissible after all safety measures have been implemented and a corresponding act has been received from the Odesa district military administration.
Last week, inspections revealed 11 beaches operating without official authorization. On August 19, three more beaches in the Kyiv district were found to be violating the orders.
The beaches are: «Nadia» (located between the collector and traverse N 17 of the second phase of the PZS); «Chayka» (between traverses N 6-A and N 6-B of the second phase of the PZS); and the beach at the 15th station of the Great Fountain (LLC «Atlant Sea Group»), situated between traverses 14 and 15.
The City Engineering Protection Administration and Coastal Development have prepared relevant acts, and lessees have been issued orders for immediate rectification of violations. All documents will be forwarded to district and regional military administrations for further actions.
The city authorities once again remind that operating beaches without the official permission of the OVA is a serious violation of the law, posing a danger to vacationers as it directly threatens their health and lives.
Inspections of beaches will continue, covering not only safety requirements but also ensuring free access along the water's edge.
Additionally, the Barrier-Free Council is conducting beach inspections to assess accessibility for persons with disabilities and low-mobility groups.
