Completion of Beach Inspections in Odesa

The inspection of rented beach areas in Odesa has been completed. A working group established by the city mayor conducted a thorough examination of the beach areas to ensure compliance with operational standards, sanitation, and free access for citizens.

The group included representatives from the city government, the Accessibility Council, and veteran organizations.

During the inspection, key requirements were assessed:

  • at least 30% of the rented area must be available for public use;
  • no temporary structures allowed on the sand;
  • compliance with sanitary norms;
  • free passage along the waterline and between beach sections must be ensured.

The working group identified several violations: the placement of sun loungers directly at the water's edge obstructing passage, as well as an instance of unauthorized trading. This was recorded by the police, and a report was filed.

Recommendations were also provided to lessees for improving accessibility conditions.

A comprehensive report with findings and suggestions for the upcoming season will be prepared based on the inspection results.

The next step is to inspect the beaches in the Primorskyi district of Odesa.
