Inclusive Beach in Odesa: New Opportunities for Everyone

On July 1, 2025, an inclusive beach was inaugurated at the 11th station of the Great Fountain in Odesa, marking a significant step towards creating a barrier-free environment. This facility provides an opportunity for veterans, individuals with disabilities, and other mobility-impaired groups to enjoy leisure activities.

This inclusive beach is a prime example of how spaces can be transformed for all people. This was stated by Tatiana Lomakina, the Presidential Advisor on Accessibility, following her visit to Odesa. She commended the city’s efforts in developing the beach and noted that the construction process was closely monitored to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.

“Step by step, our coastline is becoming a barrier-free space. The beach is rarely empty; it is frequented by both locals and visitors,” said the Presidential Advisor on Accessibility.
