Since the beginning of 2025, «Miskzelentrest» in Odessa has removed 958 hazardous and dry trees and uprooted over 800 stumps.

The operations were carried out in response to citizens' requests, due to adverse weather, or as part of city programs aimed at urban improvement.

In the autumn, the company plans to plant around 1,000 young trees, including ashes, sophoras, linden, maples, and others. Most of the new trees will be planted in the places of the uprooted ones. All trees are large-sized and adapted for urban environments.

Stump removal is a complex task. Until this year, municipal workers lacked special equipment for stump removal, which significantly complicated and prolonged the process. Currently, the work is being carried out using new machinery – the Rotor Speedy 80/100 stump grinder and the KATA KF1404 tractor with a capacity of 140 horsepower, designed for timely and quality stump removal.

With the new equipment, the landscapers have significantly reduced the time required for these physically demanding tasks through mechanization: if previously it was normed to take 12 hours for manual stump removal, now the whole process for a stump with a diameter of 70 cm takes only 40 minutes.
