Military Officer Arrested for Corruption

In the Odesa region, law enforcement authorities have arrested a military officer from the RTC for corrupt practices. The officer demanded an unlawful benefit in exchange for assistance in removing an individual from the wanted list and declaring him unfit for service. An investigation is underway, and the suspect faces imprisonment with property confiscation.
Police and SBU employees documented that a mobilization specialist was demanding 25,000 hryvnias from a conscript who sought advice. For this sum, he promised to influence unspecified individuals to remove the man from the "Wanted" database and ensure a smooth military medical commission process. As a result of operational measures, the offender was detained after receiving the entire amount of money.
After gathering sufficient evidence, investigators charged the suspect under Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which carries a penalty of up to eight years in prison. A decision regarding preventive measures is currently being considered.

The investigation continues under the supervision of the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the defense sector.
