During a recent massive drone attack, Odesa Lyceum No. 125, which serves approximately 500 students, suffered extensive damage. The same building hosts a kindergarten attended by 60 children.
Significant damage includes 120 shattered windows (700 m²) across 30 classrooms, 30 damaged doors, and partial harm to heating and electrical systems.
Ceilings in 30 classrooms were also affected, and 100 desks along with 200 chairs were practically destroyed. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
«Currently, restoration of the heating system is underway. The kindergarten will resume operations on Monday, November 11. Students will study remotely for a week, and from November 18, they will return to classes in two shifts in the less damaged areas of the school. The restoration of the most severely damaged part of the building is scheduled to be completed between November and January», - reported the head of the city’s Department of Education and Science, Olena Buinevych.
