A new online initiative titled "Empowering Women in Cybersecurity: Developing Digital Skills" is being launched in Ukraine. This program is implemented by CDTO Campus, Diia.Business, and Diia.Education with support from the German cybersecurity company Monarch and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The course aims to provide women with foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and teach them to apply these advanced skills in their professional careers and daily lives.
"The Empowering Women in Cybersecurity program is a crucial stepping stone for those who wish to change their career path, enhance their digital skills, or gain a deeper understanding of digital risks. During the training, participants will acquire knowledge and practical skills from leading experts in the UK, enabling them to confidently embark on a career in this essential field. We aim to systematically develop the cybersecurity sector in Ukraine, address gender imbalance in technology, and create real opportunities for learning, employment, and growth," said Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
This program is geared towards women looking to transition into cybersecurity or acquire new knowledge applicable to their current professional roles. All educational content will be accessible to anyone interested, regardless of prior experience in cybersecurity.
Throughout the course, students will get acquainted with key concepts and principles of cybersecurity, learn about the specifics of working in this field from experienced experts, and receive practical advice.
The program will feature seven lectures covering both foundational and practical topics: basics of cybersecurity; risks and compliance; threat intelligence and resilience during wartime; working with OSINT; women’s roles and keys to cyber resilience; personal growth in the cybersecurity domain. Additionally, organizers will focus on career-related issues and discuss opportunities in cybersecurity.
