Mental Health Awareness Day in Odesa: New Opportunities and Support

Last week, Odesa hosted an event dedicated to Mental Health Awareness Day, catering to both adults and children.

This initiative was organized for World Mental Health Day with the support of local health authorities.

During the event, medical professionals, including family doctors and psychologists, engaged with patients to emphasize the importance of caring for mental health and provided guidance on maintaining it.

If needed, doctors referred individuals to psychological offices established under the National Mental Health Program for free assistance.

In total, the initiative provided consultations to over 550 residents of Odesa—approximately 450 adults and over 100 children. Additionally, psychologists offered 115 consultations.

To broaden outreach, various activities were held in parks and recreational areas, allowing attendees to receive helpful tips and participate in workshops.

As a result, around 500 people took part in these informational events, including more than 150 children.
