Last week, supported by the «Donor Odesa» project, a mobile blood donation event took place at the City Clinical Hospital No. 1, organized by the team from the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station.

About 30 staff members and visitors participated in donating blood during the event. The team at City Clinical Hospital No. 1 has been actively involved in blood donation, both on-site and as part of the ongoing citywide campaign «Donate Blood — Save Lives».

The need for blood donations has remained critically high since the onset of the full-scale war. Blood is essential for saving wounded defenders of Ukraine and other patients.

Any interested groups can arrange for a mobile blood donation drive at their location. To do so, they need to:

1. Organize a group of 25-50 willing blood donors. Ensure that potential donors do not have absolute contraindications or temporary restrictions to donating blood.

2. Agree on a convenient date by calling 0668422387 or messaging on Telegram @donorodesa.

3. Follow specific guidelines regarding diet and medication intake the day before donation.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the «Donor Odesa» project has been helping find blood donors for the city’s medical facilities, engaging over 9000 donors so far.
