Last year, approximately 300 bronchoscopy procedures were performed in medical facilities in Odesa. This timely intervention allowed for the identification of 45 suspected cases of oncological diseases, leading to further consultations and treatments for patients.

Bronchoscopy is a critical examination of the trachea and bronchi using specialized endoscopic equipment, enabling the early detection of respiratory organ cancers. It is recommended to undergo bronchoscopy after the age of 50, even in the absence of symptoms.

This procedure is included in the state medical guarantee program and is offered free of charge with a referral from a physician, including for patients receiving inpatient care.

Medical institutions in Odesa have acquired new bronchoscopy equipment funded by the city budget. Patients can undergo bronchoscopy free of charge by appointment at the following addresses:

For children, bronchoscopy is conducted at the Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3, Akademika Zabolotnoho St., 26a.
