New Mental Wellness Center Opens in Odessa

A Mental Wellness Center has been established in Odessa to offer residents access to quality and comprehensive mental health support.

This Center began operations last year within the outpatient rehabilitation framework and has been functioning as a separate unit since 2025. Psychological support remains a crucial part of the hospital's rehabilitation programs.

Assistance is provided by a multidisciplinary team, including a psychiatrist, psychophysiologist, psychotherapist, medical and clinical psychologists.

If needed, a healthcare chaplain and social worker are also involved, ensuring a broad range of mental health support, crisis intervention, and psychosocial assistance.

The Center offers specialized counseling for patients, especially those affected by the war, including defenders and veterans. An essential aspect is communication with patients to raise their awareness about mental health and provide support for their relatives.

The Center conducts group and individual sessions, training for healthcare professionals, and workshops on ethical communication and burnout prevention.

The Center's work exemplifies successful integration of psychological and psychosocial support within the healthcare system.

Referrals to the Center are made by psychiatrists or family doctors.

Contact phone number: (048) 705 91 03.
