Solar Power Initiatives in Hospitals of Odesa Region

Solar Power for Odesa Region Hospitals

The multi-profile hospitals in Ovidiopol and Bilyaivka have started the installation of solar energy systems. This initiative is a vital step towards ensuring energy independence for medical facilities, allowing them to operate continuously even during power outages.

The Ovidiopol hospital will be equipped with a solar station of 70 kW capacity.

Bilyaivka hospital is set to become one of the most powerful in the region with a new installation of 500 kW.

This project is being implemented under an agreement between the hospitals and the Lithuanian company UAB Solet, with financial support from the Government of Lithuania that has allocated funds for the equipment.

The equipment is already on-site, and installation work is ongoing. Soon, both medical facilities will be able to function partially autonomously, independent of the general power grid.

We express our gratitude to international partners for their tangible actions that strengthen Ukrainian healthcare during wartime.
