Advancements in Patient Verification in Ukraine

As of June 29, over 90% of patients using primary healthcare services in Ukraine have verified their data in the electronic healthcare system.

This was announced by Health Minister Viktor Lyashko on social media.

He emphasized: "Real changes in healthcare are only possible through open dialogue with medical professionals. I met with family doctors to discuss the challenges they face and to collaboratively find the best solutions. An honest conversation is vital, especially in wartime. One key issue is the verification of patient data in the electronic healthcare system."

"I understand this creates additional pressure on doctors, but it's about transparency. The system needs to fund real patients, not statistics. This is a fundamental principle of reform: money follows the patient. In the current context of limited resources, this principle carries even more weight," Lyashko stated.

He informed that, according to the National Health Service of Ukraine, by June 29, over 90% of patients in contracted primary healthcare facilities have been verified.

"This is a significant collective effort. To enhance this process, the National Health Service of Ukraine has launched an updated analytical dashboard that allows each facility to see its indicators, compare dynamics, and orient itself towards best practices," Lyashko added.

They also discussed how to act when patients do not pass verification, and he mentioned that clear solutions will be developed soon.

The Health Minister called on all Ukrainians to support this process: "If you are receiving medical services, please confirm your data. This is a shared responsibility for stability and fairness in the healthcare system."
