New Healthcare Services for Veterans in Odesa

The Primary Healthcare Center No. 3 in Odesa has launched an innovative project designed to provide a comprehensive range of medical services for war veterans, aimed at enhancing their physical and mental well-being.

This initiative, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, significantly expands the opportunities for free medical assistance at the primary healthcare level.

The services offered focus on the treatment of combat-related consequences, psychological support, treatment accompaniment, and social assistance.

Combatants who are no longer in military service, as well as individuals with war-related disabilities, can benefit from these services.

What services are available for veterans under this project?

1. Personalized monitoring and treatment plan, including diagnostics and preventive examinations tailored to health status and medical history.

2. Screening for mental and physical conditions related to combat actions: PTSD, chronic pain, hypertension, gastrointestinal diseases, etc.

3. Extended psychological support and psychotherapy services.

4. Referrals for consultations with psychiatrists or psychologists, including individual and group therapy, as well as stress management programs.

5. Treatment of chronic conditions, including osteoarthritis, and medical support for injuries.

6. Diagnosis and treatment of vision and hearing impairments.

7. Development of an individual rehabilitation plan for patients with post-traumatic conditions, including specialized exercises.

8. Prescription of medications for chronic pain management and for neurological and emotional disorders.

9. Monitoring and treatment of addictions.

10. Social worker consultations regarding access to medical and social services, veterans' rights, and support for adaptation to civilian life.

To access these services, a declaration with a family doctor at the Center must be signed, and original documents must be provided:

1. Document confirming veteran status.

2. Passport or other identification document.

3. Identification code or passport number.
