Doctors at City Clinical Hospital No. 10 in Odesa successfully conducted a unique operation that saved a patient in critical condition.

A woman was admitted to the hospital with a severe case of acute stroke. A CT scan revealed that the middle cerebral artery was blocked.

Additionally, the medical team noted the patient was having difficulty breathing, leading them to conduct further examinations of her lungs. It was found that she was also suffering from pulmonary embolism.

The multidisciplinary team of doctors decided to perform a simultaneous thrombectomy on both the cerebral and pulmonary arteries, which was crucial for saving her life.

The surgery was successful, and the patient is now feeling significantly better: she is conscious and able to move her limbs.
