Odesa’s Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov met with the commander of the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, Volodymyr Luzhetskyi, and his fellow soldiers.

The city has already provided over 138 million hryvnias in aid to this brigade. Currently, the soldiers are defending Ukraine in the challenging Donetsk region. They have submitted another request for assistance, which will be processed promptly.

This year, Odesa's budget allocated 206 million 093 thousand hryvnias to support the Defense Forces, including 10 million for the 28th brigade. Last year, Odesa transferred nearly 1.42 billion hryvnias to assist the military.

The city continues to operate and support Ukrainian defenders.
