On November 8, 2024, the INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL CENTER UNION hosted a celebratory evening dedicated to the renowned host of international jazz competitions, Elena Shevchenko, titled «About Jazz and More». 

For her many years of dedication and significant contribution to the arts, Elena was honored with a valuable gift from the Mayor of Odessa, along with a certificate of appreciation from the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and European Integration of the Odessa City Council.  

A musicologist and lecturer at the Arts and Culture College named after K. Dankevich, she is recognized for her expertise in the history of music and jazz, and is fondly referred to as the «Lady of Jazz». 

During the evening, her students and colleagues showcased various jazz performances. Young musicians from Arts Schools No. 1, 3, and 4 also participated. 

The creative evening concluded with a traditional jam session.
