Maria Popova, the representative of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights in the Odesa region, has checked the preparations for the inclusive beach at Dolphin for the summer season.
Work is underway to install pathways, and all recreation and wellness zones are being regularly inspected for accessibility. Representatives of the authorities, together with experts from the Accessibility Council, which includes veterans and people with disabilities, are actively involved in these inspections.
Maria Popova confirmed that the preparations are proceeding appropriately, and the city will ensure all necessary conditions for the beach's operation, including water supply and sewage systems.
"If there are no obstacles, we are looking forward to the opening of the updated inclusive beach," she stated.
Marat Korolev, the head of the Primorsky District Administration, noted that another inclusive beach at the 11th station of the Great Fountain is also being prepared for opening this season, with renovation work ongoing.
The preparation of inclusive locations, including beaches, is under the personal control of the Mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov.
It is worth mentioning that 2025 has been declared the Year of Accessibility in Odesa.
