In Memory of Leonid Liptuga: A Cultural Legacy of Odessa

On September 2, Leonid Viktorovich Liptuga passed away — an esteemed cultural worker in Ukraine, a leading researcher at the Odessa Literary Museum, and the creator of notable projects such as the "Garden of Sculptures" and "Odessa Yard".

The Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing of the Odessa City Council announced that Leonid Liptuga dedicated his entire life to Odessa, its culture, history, the Literary Museum, and its residents.

“His bright memory will forever remain in the hearts of his relatives, friends, and colleagues. We express our sincere condolences to the director of the Odessa Literary Museum, Tetiana Liptuga, the director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing of the Odessa City Council, Ivan Liptuga, the museum team, and his loved ones,” the statement reads.

Note: The "Garden of Sculptures" is an open-air exhibition established in 1995. Until 2014, every "Humorina" event was marked by the unveiling of a new sculpture. The "Odessa Yard" exhibition, which continues the "Garden of Sculptures", recreates a typical Odessa yard with all its attributes.
