On the night of October 12 to 13, Ukrainian soldier Ivan, serving in the mobile fire group of the Southern Air Command, successfully eliminated an enemy drone of the type 'Shahed' in the Odesa region. This was reported in the official statement of the Southern Command.
This marks the sixth enemy drone shot down by this defender.
"We operated in tandem with our spotter, Sergey, just like before – precisely and harmoniously," Ivan remarked.
Before the full-scale invasion, 31-year-old Ivan worked as a diver at industrial sites and was a diving instructor in his hometown of Odesa. In May 2022, he rejoined the military unit where he had previously served under contract.
"Discipline and endurance are qualities that are vital in both my former profession and military service. They need to be cultivated everywhere, regardless of the circumstances. My colleagues and I constantly focus on training, maintain our weapons and equipment, and practice various scenarios to stay sharp and perform at our best!" the air defender noted.
