Recent events in Odessa have attracted the attention of law enforcement. A group of residents from Odessa and surrounding areas have come under suspicion due to illegal activities related to drugs. Offenders face serious penalties under the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Police officers stopped a young man on Ivan and Yuriy Lip streets and discovered a package containing narcotics hidden among cat food. The drugs, received by mail, were intended for sale. During a search of his home, police seized 60 units of narcotic substances, as well as scales and packaging materials.
A 33-year-old woman was also detained, found with narcotics and having already made several drug drops. Police confiscated 23 wraps of narcotic substances.
In another case, a 41-year-old man in the Usatove community was arrested for selling amphetamines. He also had cash and other evidence seized.
All detainees received drugs via the internet and distributed them among local residents.
In the Mykolaiv community, a 49-year-old man was discovered with a bag of cannabis, which he made for personal use.
Two young men from the Bolgrad district were also arrested for similar offenses. One had purchased PVP, while the other possessed cannabis made from wild hemp.
The police confirmed the presence of narcotic substances through expert tests.
Currently, an investigation is ongoing, and the offenders have been charged under relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court has determined preventive measures, including detention and house arrest.
According to the law, they face serious penalties.
