Two offenders aged 17 and 18 have been charged after attacking a man. The investigation is underway.

The incident occurred in April when the young men spotted a stranger on the street. They decided to follow him and attacked him in a deserted area. The 56-year-old victim suffered injuries and lost his mobile phone along with other personal belongings worth 2500 hryvnias.

The victim sought medical assistance. Doctors diagnosed him with a broken nose, abrasions, and bruises.

Police quickly identified the suspects and apprehended them. They had planned to sell the stolen phone but did not manage to do so. The stolen items were returned to the owner.

The court has placed the suspects under house arrest pending trial.

According to the investigator, one of the offenders has reached the age of criminal responsibility, leading to charges of robbery involving violence during a state of war. The maximum penalty for this crime is 15 years in prison with asset confiscation.

The indictment under Part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been submitted to the court.

The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the Suvorov District Prosecutor's Office in Odessa.
