This morning, November 5th, a tragic incident took place in a residential building on Lustdorf Road in Odesa. Medical staff reported the injury of a child.
Police officers were dispatched to the scene. 
It has been preliminarily established that a woman from the Bereziv district came to visit her older son with her 5-year-old daughter. While the mother was in another room, the girl reached the windowsill in the kitchen, opened the window, and fell from the sixth floor. Medical personnel transported the child to the hospital.
Police are investigating the full circumstances of the incident. The legal qualification of the event is being determined.
Authorities urge parents to ensure the safety of their children. To prevent such incidents, do not leave young children unattended, and where possible, install special locking handles, stoppers, or restrictors on windows.
