Taekwondo: Odessa's Achievements at the National Tournament

From November 1 to 3, the village of Kolodenka in the Rivne region hosted the A-class Taekwondo tournament titled “Children of Ukraine XXV”.

This event served as a qualifier for the European Championship scheduled to take place in Sarajevo in two weeks.

A total of 140 athletes participated in the National Championship, while 465 taekwondo practitioners competed for medals in the open tournament.

Odessa athletes performed exceptionally well, bringing home 6 medals from the National Championship.

Among the champions were Renata Podolyany and Maria Labuzova from the Olympic Sports School. Bronze medals were claimed by Alexander Labuzov, Olga Schwartz, Victor Semanyuk, and Yulia Gamurar from the Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School No. 17.

Moreover, young juniors and cadets from Odessa secured 8 medals in the open All-Ukrainian tournament “Children of Ukraine XXV”.

The tournament winners included Anastasia Volosenko, Zlata Volosenko, Danila Komarov, Daniil Modnov, and Matviy Lukashuk, with bronze medals going to Ivan Cherevichny, Nazar Lukashuk, and Lina Yeremenko.

The athletes were trained by coaches Yulia Podolyany and Victor Semanyuk.

In Odessa, 178 athletes practice taekwondo (WTF) at the Children and Youth Sports School No. 17 and No. 7.
