On March 30, 2025, the specialized children's sports school of Olympic reserve for climbing in Odesa celebrated its 20th anniversary.
This is the first and only specialized climbing school in Ukraine. Over the past two decades, through the hard work of coaches and athletes, the school has achieved the highest category and gained national recognition.
Approximately 1,000 athletes have been trained in this school, including numerous champions and medalists of international competitions. Among its graduates are three international-class sports masters: Anastasia Savisko, Konstantin Pavlenko, and Grigory Ilchishin.
The celebration was attended by notable figures such as the Secretary of the Odesa City Council, Igor Koval, and other representatives of the sports community.
The school's director, Lyubov Zimova, was awarded a Gratitude from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine for her contributions to the development of sports.
Participants of the celebration had the opportunity to explore an exhibition that showcased the school's journey over the past 20 years.

Sport climbing is an Olympic sport that involves climbing on artificial surfaces and has its roots in traditional climbing. It comprises three main disciplines: difficulty climbing, speed climbing, and bouldering.
