Yesterday, May 10th, Odessa hosted a national sambo tournament dedicated to the memory of Alexander Adzelenko, the president of the regional sambo federation.

Over 100 participants from various cities in Ukraine attended the event. During the opening ceremony, the Odessa Sambo Federation, along with partners, donated drones to the «Artan» special unit of the Ministry of Defense's Main Intelligence Directorate for operational tasks on the front lines. This tournament not only serves to honor Alexander Adzelenko's legacy but also acts as a vital platform for the development of young athletes and the promotion of sambo, a national sport that embodies strength, technique, and character.
