Rowing Competition in Kyiv: Celebrating the Spirit of Perseverance

The capital of Ukraine hosted a rowing competition dedicated to the memory of the esteemed coach Stanislav Zahoria.

The event featured 28 teams from across the nation. Representing Odesa was a team of adaptive athletes – veterans who have overcome injuries to actively engage in sports, demonstrating that teamwork and determination can conquer any barriers.

Prior to the tournament, the Odesa team conducted training sessions, familiarized themselves with the course, and geared up for the challenges ahead, which required endurance, coordination, and inner strength. The competition was fierce, and the opponents were formidable.

During the event, the Odesa rowers once again displayed their high level of preparation and will to win, securing podium finishes. The spirit of perseverance, daily training, and genuine team support were key to their success.

This victory is not just a sporting achievement but also a significant step towards the recognition of adaptive sports. Our athletes prove that nothing is impossible.

Odesa will continue to support the development of adaptive sports and equal opportunities for all.
