Ukrainian Athlete's Triumph in France

Ukrainian athlete Mykhailo Kokan celebrated a victory at the club championship in France for the hammer throw, held on Sunday, May 18, in Franconville.

The competition featured 16 athletes, with Kokan securing first place with a throw of 72.89 meters. His best performance this season is 80.73 meters, achieved at the Antalya Cup in Turkey at the end of April.

Next Saturday, May 24, Kokan will compete in the Continental Gold Tour Memorial Boris Khanzekovich tournament in Zagreb (Croatia). He will be joined by 30-year-old Ukrainian runner Viktoria Tkachuk.

It’s worth noting that Kokan, at just 24 years old, is a bronze medalist from the 2024 Paris Olympics in the hammer throw.
