Ukrainians in Canada had the opportunity to attend the exhibition titled «Ukrainian Football: The Game Continues», which opened prior to the official launch.

As part of the event, players including Mykola Matviyenko, Heorhii Sudakov, Roman Yaremchuk, and Ivan Kalyuzhny participated in the meeting.

Exhibition on Ukrainian Football in Toronto - What to Expect

The exhibition «Ukrainian Football: The Game Continues» opens in Toronto, allowing visitors to view original football trophies, Valerii Lobanovskyi's coaching notes, and learn how Ukrainian football survives during the war.

This unique project featuring over 200 exhibits is leaving Ukraine for the first time to inform the global community about the evolution of Ukrainian football and its significant role in Ukraine's fight during the war.

The exhibition, titled “Ukrainian Football: The Game Continues”, will take place at Trident Centre in Toronto from June 5 to June 10 (10:00 AM to 8:00 PM). Admission is free.

It has been organized by the Ukrainian Football Association as part of the Canadian Shield tournament, in which the Ukrainian national team will participate.

What to Know About the Canadian Shield Tournament

The Canadian Shield tournament is a new international competition organized by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), SPORTFIVE, and MIB Sport Agency.

Four men's national teams will participate in the Canadian Shield: Canada, Ukraine, Côte d'Ivoire, and New Zealand.

The Canadian Shield matches are positioned as a preparatory stage for teams headed to the upcoming World Cup, part of which will be held in North America in 2026.
