The Ukrainian national volleyball team accomplished an extraordinary feat in their match against Cuba in the Nations League, establishing a new record for blocks over the past four years.

The game concluded with a victory for the Ukrainians in a tiebreaker. Throughout the match, the Ukrainian players executed 17 blocks, with Yuri Semeniuk leading the way with 5 of those actions.

The last time Ukraine showcased such a performance was during the group stage of the 2021 European Championship against Portugal, where they achieved 19 blocks.

This match marked a record number of blocks for Ukraine under the guidance of Argentine coach Raul Lozano, who took over the team in 2024 (having already conducted 13 matches).
