The European Championship in Kyokushin karate concluded in Bucharest, Romania, featuring both the absolute weight category for adults and the European Cup for various age groups.

A total of 878 competitors from 18 different countries participated in the event.

Among the Ukrainian national team were athletes from Odesa.

Silver medals were awarded to Yegor Teply in the 14-15 age group (up to 75 kg) and Yana Strozhenko in the 8-9 age group (up to 30 kg).

Bronze medalists included Sofia Vinnichenko (8-9 years, up to 30 kg), Polina Klymenko (10-11 years, up to 30 kg), and Maksym Papov (14-15 years, 60 kg).

The athletes were trained by Serhiy Papov, Vladyslav Panchenko, and Pavlo Vinnichenko.
