On Wednesday, Google announced the release of its new AI model, Gemini 3 Flash. According to Axios, this model is designed to be faster and more affordable.
Gemini 3 Flash incorporates features of the Gemini 3 Pro model.
Google representatives claim that the new model is «quicker, more efficient, and cheaper» to operate.
Gemini 3 Flash excels at tasks such as last-minute trip planning and quickly grasping complex educational concepts.
The multimodal thinking capabilities of the new model allow users to request Gemini to watch videos, view images, listen to audio, or read text and «transform these responses into content».
«We aim to provide everyone with the benefits and foundation of Gemini 3», said Gemini product lead Tulsi Doshi in an interview with Axios.
She mentioned that the release of this model is aimed at giving more people access to «the most powerful AI tools» available.
Gemini 3 Flash will become the default model in the Gemini app, replacing Gemini 2.5 Flash for everyday tasks.
It will also serve as the default model for AI mode in search, meaning that daily Google users worldwide will have access to it.
Previously, Google released its Gemini 3 Pro model on November 18.
Additionally, American company OpenAI introduced its latest AI model, GPT-5.2.
