In Odesa, the upgrading of municipal parks with specialized machinery is underway. This year, the Municipal Enterprise "City Roads" has enhanced its fleet with the acquisition of four new PRONAR SPT40 spreaders.
This equipment is designed for treating the city's street network with reagents during winter and is utilized with vehicles weighing over 10 tons.
The new PRONAR SPT40 spreaders feature a hopper capacity adjustment system, which allows for increased treatment efficiency. Monitoring and management of operational parameters, as well as activation of brine for salt wetting, are conducted from the vehicle's cabin via a control panel with a display.
The spreader is powered by a two-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine and is started from a control panel.
The distribution system components are made of stainless steel, ensuring a long service life under high corrosion conditions.
Compared to the outdated variable equipment also used by the enterprise, the new machines allow for adjusting the spreading density, changing spreading programs, and have a wider spreading band, as well as a stainless steel distribution disc.
In total, the enterprise has 61 units of variable equipment for winter maintenance, including the new machinery.
Most of the variable equipment for winter street maintenance has been in use for over 10 years, although the recommended service life for such equipment is 5 years.
Specialists at the Municipal Enterprise independently maintain the satisfactory technical condition of the variable equipment. Currently, adjustments are being made for the equipment to operate during the winter period.
