A new public fountain complex is being constructed in Odessa to offer residents an alternative water source. 
In September 2024, work began on building an artesian water fountain in the park near the “Zoryany” cinema, as reported by the Odessa City Council press service. The project aims to provide the residents of the Peresyp district with access to quality water supply.  So far, drilling and setup of the artesian well have been completed, and the perimeter of the well's sanitary protection zone is fenced with decorative barriers.  The contractor is actively working on the fountain building: water purification equipment is being installed, technical facilities for staff are being set up, and a water distribution point is being organized. The roofing work is nearing completion. Additionally, interior finishing works in the technical building of the fountain complex are ongoing: plastering walls, flooring, laying networks and communications, etc. Preparatory work for landscaping the area surrounding the fountain complex has also begun.  The construction is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2025.
