New Opportunities for Odesa Residents: Voting on Street Renaming

According to recent reports, voting is taking place from May 1 to July 1, 2025, on the official website of the Odesa City Council in the «Public Discussion» section via the «Socially Active Citizen» platform (citizen.omr.gov.ua). Information about the progress of the discussion is available in real-time.

Participation is open only to citizens registered in Odesa and aged 18 and over. Each participant can vote separately for each proposed object, choosing either «Yes» or «No». Additionally, there is an option to leave a comment explaining their position.

The updated list of toponyms under discussion includes the following proposals:

  • rename Chapayev Street (Peresyp District) to Vyacheslav Kyrylov Street;
  • rename Kanatnyi Lane (Primorsky District) to Mihai Eminescu Lane;
  • name the park at the corner of Fontanska Road and Lesia Ukrainka Avenue — «Lesia Ukrainka Park»;
  • rename Serednia Street (Khadyzhbey District) to Oleksandr Sviash Street.
