In Odesa, preparations are underway for the upcoming summer vacation season. This year, the city plans to open significantly more beaches for holidaymakers compared to last year.
This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, during a national telemarathon.
Last year, about 20 beaches were open; this season we aim to open around 48, — he noted.
According to Kiper, the city continues to implement enhanced safety measures, particularly in areas with large crowds. Currently, Odesa has equipped 2,660 shelters.
We have provided shelters for almost all gathering places. The more pressing issue is to ensure that people actually use them, — emphasized Kiper.
He also addressed the situation in the ports and the operation of the grain corridor. According to Oleg Kiper, since the grain corridor started operating, about 5,000 vessels have entered and exited Odesa's ports.
We have increased the volumes to pre-full-scale invasion levels. Our ports now handle more than half of the country's exports, — highlighted the regional head.
Kiper also commented on the only inclusive beach in Ukraine located in Odesa. He assured that despite certain disputes, the beach will definitely operate this season.
Yes, there were some disagreements, but the beach will be open. If any issues arise — we will assist them, — added the head of the OVA.
Let us remind you that Odesa is the only seaside resort in Ukraine where, despite the war, opportunities for seaside recreation are gradually being restored, with safe zones and shelters being established.
