Motorcycle Patrols Return to Odesa for Enhanced Road Safety

Starting May 15, motorcycle patrols are resuming operations on the streets of Odesa and Izmail. Police officers on motorcycles are now part of the effort to maintain public order.

This was reported by the Patrol Police of the Odesa region on their official Telegram channel.

According to law enforcement officials, motorcycle patrols are more mobile and agile, allowing them to respond quickly to traffic accidents and apprehend offenders attempting to flee. Their ability to navigate through traffic jams significantly enhances police responsiveness.

All motorcycle patrol officers are equipped with advanced communication devices and personal protective gear, and they have undergone additional training in first aid.

It is worth noting that for over a month now, a rule has been in place in Odesa allowing motorcycles and mopeds to use dedicated public transport lanes, a privilege that was previously reserved for cyclists.
