From June 30 to July 6, students from Odessa Lyceum No. 9 participated in an international chess festival for schoolchildren held in Iasi, Romania.

A total of 84 teams from various parts of the world competed.

The Odessa team achieved a commendable result, finishing 10th out of 37 teams in the under-12 category. Kateryna Stanchak claimed 2nd place among girls, winning 7 out of 8 matches.

The chess team gained significant experience and wonderful memories from the trip.
